Releasing 8.27.26
Facing down a life sentence for a crime he didn't commit, Vladimir Fedorov is struggling to see a way out of his charges. Despite having an alibi for the time of his alleged crime, his trial continues to move forward. It becomes clear that an unknown enemy is behind this frame job. There's only one person who seems to find the charges against him suspect, Assistant District Attorney Cara Sweeney.
Cara is no stranger to the criminal underbelly of Chicago. She's grown up in a similar family to Vladimir but rejected the lifestyle. Cara chose law school and putting criminals behind bars over embracing her family lineage. When she's assigned the attractive and mysterious Bratva enforcer's case, she knows he is no innocent man. However, she quickly realizes that he didn't commit this crime and will not let someone innocent of their charges go to prison.
Starting off as enemies because of their familial history and careers, they grow closer as they work in secret to find who actually is responsible. Soon, Cara is put in danger, forcing Vladimir to protect her at all costs. Vladimir quickly realizes he wouldn't just protect Cara, he'd do anything for her.
