When Anatoly Fedorov saw a young woman being led away from him, and safety, during a rescue of trafficking victims, he resolved to do whatever it took to find her. He knew what it was like to spend time in captivity, after being kidnapped as a teenager. He not only saw the fight in her eyes, but an instant and deep connection.

Valerie Walker grew up in a loving family, but the last few months have been nearly impossible to survive. After missing a chance at escape, she struggles to stay positive. She holds out hope that the man with deep brown eyes, and a scar on his cheek, will keep searching for her.
